Minor League (ages 9 and 10 as of April 30, 2022)

Registration: Register online at www.marsbaseball.com and pay online. Registration ends on February 28.
What: The pitching distance is 46 feet. All players must play a minimum of 2 innings in the infield. No player may pitch more than 2 innings during any game.
Ages: Players who are 9 or 10 as of April 30, 2022
Team Announcements: You will receive notification of your child’s team placement on or before March 28, 2022.
Practices: Practices will begin on or after April 2. Teams will be scheduled to practice once or twice each week from April 2 through Baseball Opening Day.
Practice Times: Practices will be scheduled at 6 pm on Monday through Friday and on Saturday.
Baseball Opening Day has not been officially scheduled yet but likely will be April 23. All teams will play at least one game and pictures will be taken.
Season Length (games): Baseball Opening Day through June 18th.
Typical Game Schedule: 12 scheduled regular season games plus playoffs. We will make every effort to make sure that every team plays a minimum of 10 games during the regular season (weather permitting).
Time of Games: The earliest game on Saturday will be 9am. During the week, games will begin at 6:00 pm.
Practice and Game Locations: Adams 1&2 and Adams Township Park
Team Assignments: Players will be placed on teams after a formal player evaluation. At an in person meeting with the Commissioner and Head Coach of each team, teams will be balanced based on the evaluated skill level of the players.

Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats, jerseys and practice/game balls. Most players prefer to purchase their own bat although they can typically borrow a bat from a teammate. All bats must be USA approved only. Players will also need to purchase a helmet, gray baseball pants and cleats and may want to purchase a bat bag.
